Cocoon
Cocoon is a series of work I started some time ago to explore our modern day cocoons.
It explores those things that we use to surround ourselves to create barriers or bridges within our lives.
Many of the subject that I looked at have both positive and negative connotations. The ideas discussed provide a process of change that reminded me of the process of metamorphosis that occurs within natures own cocoons.
This series uses colour as part of the narrative that runs from the white of birth through to the black of death.
